Motorola is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated smartphone, the Motorola Edge 40, in India on May 23rd. Ahead of its official debut, Flipkart has revealed the price of the device through a listing. The Motorola Edge 40 is expected to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage.
It will be available in three color options and will sport a 3D curved display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The smartphone will come with a dual rear camera setup including a 50-megapixel primary sensor and will be powered by a 4,400mAh battery with 68W TurboPower charging support. The Motorola Edge 40 was first introduced in Europe.
The price of the Motorola Edge 40 in India has been partially revealed on Flipkart. According to the website’s banner, the smartphone is expected to be priced at Rs. 27,999. Pre-orders will start on May 23rd, along with no-cost EMI options starting from Rs. 5,000 per month. The listing also mentions a potential exchange offer of up to Rs. 2,000. However, the exact price of the Motorola Edge 40 is not yet listed on the e-commerce platform.
In terms of specifications, the Motorola Edge 40 will feature a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone will run on Android 13 out of the box.
The camera setup on the Motorola Edge 40 will include a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide and macro lens. For selfies and video calls, there will be a 32-megapixel front-facing camera housed within a punch-hole design.
The device will pack a 4,400mAh battery with 68W fast charging support. Additionally, it will offer 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging capabilities.
