Rava dosa made with a batter of semolina and it is very popular in south india, rava dosa is a mixture of rice flour and water along with cumin seeds, salt, asafoetida, diced onions, diced carrot, curry leaves, cashew nuts, black pepper, chopped cilantro and green chillies. The mixed ingredients are then poured thinly onto a heated, lightly oiled tava using a ladle in a circular motion. Then, oil or ghee is sprinkled around the  dosa and it is cooked for about two minutes, after which it is ready to be served with a variety of chutnies or sambar

½ cup unroasted rava/suji/fine semolina
¼ cup maida/all purpose flour
½ cup rice flour
1.5 to 2 cups water or as required
8-9 chopped curry leaves
1 chopped green chili
½ tsp crushed black pepper
1 medium sized chopped onion
½ inch chopped ginger
1-2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
½ tsp cumin seeds
salt as required
oil or ghee

First mix all the ingredients mentioned above except oil and keep aside for 30 to 40 minutes. Now Heat the tava or non-stick pan and spread 1 to 2 tablespoon oil. if you using non-stick pan then no need to spread oil with a ladle pour the batter from the edges towards the center. sprinkle ½ or 1 tsp of oil from the top. let the base becomes golden or crisp flip and cook the other side. when both the sides are cooked, remove the dosa from the pan. Now your rava dosa is ready, serve with coconut chutney.
