Singhade ka halwa

During a fast, people eat Vrat recipe sweet water chestnut katli’s which a treat to the taste-buds. In india Water Chestnuts in hindi we call Singhada.

Water chestnut flour-100 gram (Singhade ka atta)
Ghee-1 Tablespoon
Sugar-100 gram
Cardamom (Elaichi)- Peel and grind into a powder.

How to make:
Heat ghee in a frying pan. Add dry chestnut flour and cook till golden brown. Add 3 cups of water to the roasted flour along with sugar and keep stirring. Continue cooking after boiling for 4-5 minutes. A thick dough will be ready.

Apply ghee to a plate and smoothen the surface and add the thick dough and try to make it thinner (up to half inch thickness) and freeze it. After they’re frozen, cut them into shapes and sizes Now your vrat recipe Singhade ka halwa is ready, d enjoy them on your fast.
